Well here we are and it’s time for me to do my first blog post. I will admit that I have been a bit fearful of starting this – a bit like some people when it comes to their financial affairs! So if you like me and my blogging are having a bit of a mental block when it comes to your accounts then this is for you.
Were you the one rushing around at the last minute this week gathering all your info together for your Accountant to complete your tax return? Or always being chased and reminded that the Companies House deadline is looming? Then it could be time to employ the services of a book-keeper!
Book-keepers can help by not only taking the stress of actually dealing with the paperwork but also seek clarification of items at a time when it is fresh in your mind rather than when you are under pressure some time later. Coupled with knowing that things are being done in plenty of time this can bring a peace of mind and inner calm – one thing ticked off the to-do list!
Book-keepers can help in many other ways – helping you with your Payroll and VAT and keeping you on top of your obligations to H M Revenue as well as assisting you with your invoicing maybe, if you have a busy workload, thereby assisting with your cashflow. We are not there to take the place of Accountants but to work along aside and act as an interface between client and Accountant. After all your Accountant is going to be a much happier person being presented with a neat set of books rather than a dog eared envelope or carrier bag!
